Organizational Background
Aid for African Women & Girls (A2WG) is a women-led, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the rights, agency, and protection of women and girls across Nigeria, and Africa, with a particular focus on conflict-affected and underserved communities in Nigeria. A2WG champions gender equality through programs that strengthen systems for gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, promote women’s leadership and political participation, and improve access to life-saving services. By combining community engagement, policy advocacy, and capacity building, A2WG works to create inclusive, resilient societies where women and girls can thrive as empowered agents of change.
About the Program
Women Leading the Change is a bold new initiative — a 3-month intensive online training program crafted to empower young Nigerian women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to engage meaningfully in electoral processes, influence policies, and drive change in their communities.

- Advocacy Strategy & Effective Messaging
- Current Electoral Reforms in Nigeria
- Coalition Building & Strategic Alliances
- Local Grassroots Assembly Formation
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for passionate, bold, and driven young women who are:
- Aged 18–40 years
- Leaders of NGOs, CBOs, or grassroots movements
- Development professionals in civic or governance spaces
- Particularly residing in Northeast Nigeria, especially from: (Adamawa Bauchi Borno Gombe Taraba Yobe)
