Job Title: Regional Medical and Health Centres Development Project Officer – ECOWAS-MRH

Locations: Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jagawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara

Details

  • The West Africa Medicines Regulatory Harmonization Project aims to improve the availability of safe and effective medicines and vaccines in the region.
  • The project is funded by the World Bank and is intended to benefit the region’s 300 million people, especially the poor who often buy medicines from the informal market.

Project for the Protection of the Health of Young People:

  • This project aims to improve the health of young people, especially girls, in the municipalities of Praia, Santa Catarina, and Tarrafal on the island of Santiago.
  • The project will promote access to sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, pregnancy tests, and STI prevention and treatment.

WAHO’s strategic programs:

  • These programs include efforts to combat malaria, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, and maternal and infant mortality.
  • WAHO also works to prevent blindness, improve access to medicines and vaccines, and provide training and health information management.

PPO Public Health:

  • This role coordinates regional public health programs, including pharmaceuticals, laboratories, non-communicable diseases, and neglected tropical diseases.
  • The role also involves promoting new treatments and healthcare policies.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

Salary
$3000 – $3700 Monthly.
