Program Officer at Association of Women Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria
ASWHAN is the central coordinating body of all support groups of women living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Our mandate includes, Coordinating, Advocacy, community intervention, resource mobilization and Research and Documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Program Officer shall be in charge of program activities associated with Integrated CLM implementation at the ASWHAN level.
- Support daily administrative and technical CLM implementation activities
- Liaise with the ASWHAN Borno project implementation team to collect and analyze field data and reports.
- Coordinates programs activities at the project site and in the office
- Nurture relationships with primary care providers, ASWHAN Borno project management team and other stakeholders to advance advocacy goals of the project at our level.
- Work with the ASWHAN Borno project management team to distribute advocacy materials, including briefs, fact sheets, and press releases.
- Organize ASWHAN Borno-level advocacy events to garner support for the priorities of the project.
- Facilitate meetings to foster collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and support for the project at ASWHAN Borno level.
- Give reports on activities being carried out by the ASWHAN Borno as it relates to Integrated CLM implementation
- Carryout health talks/Health education, nutritional counseling, career counseling, and HIV counseling and Testing at the project site
- prepare ASWHAN Borno monthly work plan that will breakdown program activities into detailed projects, with tasks, activities, timelines and scope
- Conduct periodic supportive supervision visit to the service delivery points.
- Carryout any other assignment as may be directed by your line Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Social Sciences or other related disciplines.
- 2 years of Previous work experience in Global Fund HIV/TB/Malaria or PEPFAR grant
- 3 years of work experience in a NGO/CBO implementing HIV/TB/Malaria Interventions.
- 2 years of Working knowledge of Care & Support in HIV interventions in Nigeria working with PLHIV, PPW, AGYW/AYP & KP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, including understanding the local language of the people. Attentive to details, highly organized, and self-motivated.
