The Straight Child Foundation (TSCF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with cerebral palsy, clubfoot, and other childhood disabilities. Our mission is to ensure every child with a disability has access to comprehensive care, rehabilitation, and a chance at a better quality of life.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Office Assistant

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team.
  • This role is ideal for a young professional with strong digital skills, organizational abilities, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to social impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of daily office functions.
  • Assist with document preparation, data entry, and the generation of reports using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Support the creation of simple graphics and promotional materials using Canva, and basic video edits using CapCut.
  • Collaborate with the Communication and Advocacy Officer to manage and update the organization’s social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, X (Twitter), and TikTok.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both oral and written English.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the management team.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a relevant field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design is an added advantage.
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, and social media content management is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team spirit.
