Job Description
The Project Field Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supervising ZOA’s field operations in Borno. This includes implementing project activities, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and leading local staff teams. This is an internal vacancy, meaning it is open only to current ZOA staff or possibly internal program networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day field activities and ensure smooth project implementation.
- Ensure adherence to ZOA’s operational policies and humanitarian standards.
- Coordinate with local partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Support monitoring and evaluation efforts in collaboration with the M&E team.
- Lead and motivate a team of field officers and support staff.
- Prepare and submit regular activity reports to senior management.
Job Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or any relevant field.
- Proven experience in field-level project coordination within an NGO or humanitarian setting.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); understanding of Hausa or Kanuri is an added advantage.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress and unstable environments.
