Key Responsibilities
As a State M&E Officer at JSI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring project success through data collection, analysis, and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and implementation of M&E frameworks and tools
- Collecting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing project data
- Conducting routine data quality assessments (RDQA)
- Preparing M&E reports and dashboards for decision-making
- Training local staff on M&E systems and indicators
- Ensuring compliance with donor and organizational data reporting requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s is an added advantage)
Required Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation roles, preferably within an NGO or donor-funded project
- Proficiency in data analysis software (DHIS2, Excel, Power BI, or SPSS)
- Strong knowledge of health program indicators, especially HIV, TB, FP, MNCH, or RMNCH
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in one of the listed states (Bayelsa, Edo, Imo, Jigawa, or Lagos)
- Familiarity with USAID or other international donor M&E frameworks
- Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English; local language skills are an advantage
