Eligibility Requirements
For Basic Military Training Course (BMTC)
- Age: 18 to 22 years (non-tradesmen/women); 18 to 25 years (tradesmen/women).
- Education: Minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE — obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Tradesmen/women: Must possess additional professional certificates such as ND, NCE, or Trade Test Certificate.

For Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC)
- Age: 20 to 32 years.
- Education: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in relevant fields.
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program and possess a valid certificate.
- Serving military personnel are also eligible to apply if they meet the requirements.
- The DSSC program lasts six months, after which successful candidates are commissioned as Flying Officers.
