Key Responsibilities: Driving Growth & Sustainability
As the lead for strategic development, you will be the bridge between the organization and the global intellectual community. Your core duties include:
- Institutional Fundraising: Orchestrate high-level donor engagement and secure large-scale funding opportunities.
- Global Academic Networking: Build and manage long-term partnerships with world-renowned universities, research centers, and Institutes of African Studies.
- Strategic Representation: Act as the face of the organization, representing its mission in public forums and high-level negotiations.
- Sustainability Planning: Develop long-term growth strategies that ensure the NGO’s financial and operational health.

Candidate Requirements
We are seeking a “seasoned pro” who can hit the ground running. Please review the criteria below:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven success in partnerships and development.
- Sector Expertise: Experience within a University, Research Institute, or Intellectual/Cultural Institution is highly preferred.
- Fundraising Style: Proven track record in institutional and high-level fundraising (Note: This role does not focus on grassroots or individual charity-based donations).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, and public speaking abilities.
