Key Responsibilities
1. Diplomatic Protocol & Liaison
- Official Communication: Act as a bridge between UNICEF and government ministries, embassies, and international organizations.
- Travel & Residency: Handle the end to end process for visas, work permits, and residency status for staff and official guests.
- High Level Visits: Manage the logistics for VIP arrivals, including airport transfers and scheduling high-priority meetings.
2. Event Management & Logistics
- Strategic Planning: Organize internal retreats, workshops, and large-scale international conferences.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with caterers, ICT technicians, and facility managers to ensure event excellence.
- Financial Oversight: Support budget preparation and monitor spending to ensure all events align with UNICEF’s annual work plans.
Who Is Organisation Looking For?
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education (High School) is mandatory. A university degree in Administration, International Relations, or a related field is a strong advantage.
- Experience: At least six (6) years of professional experience in administrative support, clerical work, or protocol services.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with SharePoint or similar integrated management systems.
- Languages: Full fluency in English is required. Proficiency in a local Nigerian language is a significant plus.
