Food Health Systems Advisory (FHSA) is expanding its mission to strengthen food security, nutrition, and climate resilience across Nigeria. We are seeking visionary Program/State Coordinators to lead our technical and strategic efforts in 10 key locations.
The Opportunity: Bridging Technical Expertise and Community Impact
As a State Coordinator, you will serve as the primary link between high-level food safety standards and the hands-on reality of local SMEs. This role is designed for professionals who understand that a resilient food system starts with empowered local processors.
Key Locations: Oyo, Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Niger, Benue, Nasarawa, and Plateau.
Core Responsibilities: Leadership in Action
Your role will involve a blend of remote strategic planning and essential on-site technical support:
- SME Onboarding & Growth: Identify and manage female-led food processors and micro-processing centers, providing them with the tools needed for sustainable business expansion.
- Technical Advisory: Lead efforts in product development, shelf-life extensions, and process optimization to ensure local products meet international quality standards.
- Regulatory Guidance: Hands on support for HACCP, GMP, and ISO compliance, ensuring small businesses can navigate formal regulatory environments.
- Strategic Stakeholder Relations: Act as the face of FHSA at state-level meetings, building collaborative networks with government agencies and industry partners.
- Data Driven Reporting: Collaborate with national M&E teams to collect field-level metrics, using digital tools like Kobo Collect to inform program pivots.

Do You Have the FHSA Profile?
We are looking for candidates who combine academic rigor with field-tested resilience.
What We Require:
- Academic Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: 5–7 years of experience within food systems, development consulting, or public health logistics.
- Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of food safety management systems and processing technologies.
- Communication Mastery: Fluency in English and local languages relevant to your chosen state to ensure effective community engagement.
- Operational Integrity: Proven ability to manage budgets, track expenditures, and maintain transparency in financial reporting.
