Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an International, private, non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization. Our organization offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters, to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. We have been working in Nigeria since February 1996. A Memorandum of Understanding between Medecins Sans Frontieres and the Federal Government of Nigeria facilitates this. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Mental Health Supervisor
Location: Sokoto
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Type: Indefinite
- and teamwork within the MSF team and external partners.
Requirements (Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge)
To apply for this role applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
Education:
- Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling or related field essential.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of psychosocial counseling experience with at least one of those years practicing under the supervision of a certified counselor/psychologist.
Languages:
- Both written and oral competency in English and Hausa languages are essential.
Others:
- Basic computer knowledge and skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook), demonstrated leadership/ management experience, ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary setting
Competencies:
- People management, commitment, flexibility, results, teamwork, and stress management
