Senator Jarigbe’s Christmas Gift Raises Eyebrows
As part of the Christmas celebrations, the Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has embarked on construction of solar-powered boreholes for various communities in Cross River North during the Yuletide.
Senator Jarigbe emphasized his commitment to ensuring every community has access to safe drinking water. “Access to clean, affordable, and drinkable water is a fundamental human right that I must respect,” he stated. “Although I may not be able to do everything, I want to ensure that at least every community has good water to drink.”
The initiative aims to fulfill the basic needs of the people, providing access to safe domestic water, promoting good health hygiene, and delivering other essential amenities to affected communities.
The beneficiary communities, spanning Obudu, Bekwarra, and Yala Local Government Areas, include Bebuabong and Betukwel in Obudu, Anyikang and Nyanya in Bekwarra, and Nfuma-Ntrigom and Itega Okpame in Yala.
Upon completion, the projects will be handed over to the respective community members.
