Analyst, Malaria Program at Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) – 2 Openings
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), established in 2002 by President Bill Clinton and Ira Magaziner, is a globally recognized health organization working to strengthen healthcare systems and expand access to life-saving treatments in resource-limited settings. CHAI is known for its innovative, solution-driven approach—lowering the cost of essential medicines and diagnostics, accelerating access to critical technologies, and supporting governments to deliver high-quality healthcare.
CHAI is currently recruiting two Analysts for its Malaria Program under the PRIME project, with positions based in Kaduna and Katsina States, Nigeria.
Position Overview
The Analysts will play a central role in supporting state-level implementation of malaria program activities. Working closely with government officials, private sector partners, and implementing stakeholders, they will coordinate planning, oversee execution, strengthen supply chain systems, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
The successful candidates will be highly motivated, strategic thinkers with a strong background in public health program management, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight for malaria program activities at the state level, ensuring quality implementation and accountability.
- Lead engagement with state government stakeholders, partners, and the private sector to align with national malaria control priorities.
- Support the establishment and management of governance structures and coordinate joint reviews for progress tracking.
- Monitor project milestones, resolve challenges, and report updates to national and global teams.
- Coordinate procurement and last-mile distribution of malaria commodities, including collaboration with DMCSAs, wholesalers, and NAPPMED peer detailers.
- Supervise local private-sector distributors and ensure effective supply chain management.
- Provide technical guidance to local supervisors and field teams, including development of work plans and training materials.
- Manage state-level data collection, cleaning, and validation to ensure high-quality analysis for program decisions.
- Document and share lessons learned, success stories, and insights through reports and presentations.
- Uphold CHAI’s values of integrity, responsibility, and resourcefulness in all activities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in health program implementation (experience in the private retail sector is an advantage).
- Strong background in monitoring & evaluation, data management, and operational research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with statistical software (R, STATA, SAS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with government stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel within Nigeria.
