Fully Funded Benefits & Financial Support
Purdue University ensures that financial barriers do not stand in the way of academic excellence. Selected fellows receive a comprehensive support package:
- Stipend: A generous $6,500 stipend paid bi-weekly throughout the program.
- Housing Allowance: A $2,500 housing subsidy for non-Purdue students to secure comfortable accommodation.
- Travel Reimbursement: Up to $1,000 to cover round-trip travel costs for students participating away from their home university.

Eligibility Criteria
The SURF program is inclusive and seeks diverse talent from across the globe. To be considered, you must meet the following:
- Enrollment: Must be a full-time undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Academic Standing: Must have completed at least one full academic semester/quarter by the application deadline.
- GPA Requirement: A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 (or its equivalent) is required.
- Future Enrollment: You must remain enrolled in your undergraduate studies for at least one semester following the program.
- Visa for International Students: Non-US residents will be assisted in applying for a J-1 Visa.
- Experience: Previous research experience is not required; fresh applicants with strong academic motivation are encouraged to apply.
