This unique initiative, developed through a strategic collaboration between Georgetown University, ICAP at Columbia University, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), emphasizes real-world application and strengthening health systems across West Africa.

Why This Fellowship Matters

In today dynamic health landscape, public health systems must be ready to handle emergencies  from disease outbreaks to natural disasters. Effective emergency response requires not only sound policies but also trained practitioners who can integrate preparedness into day-to-day public health activities. The PHEPRR Fellowship addresses this need by combining blended learning, operational frameworks, and applied skills that build resilience while protecting essential health services.

This program goes beyond theory, guiding participants through hands-on training and applied learning activities, including interactive modules and virtual discussions with global experts.
